## Story

Moon Bear's silver fur barely glowed as he sat under the whispering willow. His special moon flower, the one he had sung to every night, lay bent on the ground. Rabbit had accidentally stepped on it while playing tag that morning.

"I am sorry," Rabbit had said, trying to gather the petals.

But Moon Bear had turned away, his chest tight and heavy. Now the magical forest sparkled around him. Trees shimmered with starlight. Flowers hummed soft evening songs. But Moon Bear could not enjoy any of it. His paws felt cold. His tummy felt like a rock.

*Why does being angry hurt so much?* he wondered.

"Moon Bear?" Firefly danced near his nose. "Your glow is almost gone."

Moon Bear touched his chest where his heart-light usually shone.

"Everything feels dim inside."

"I know someone who might help," Firefly said gently. "Will you come?"

Moon Bear followed Firefly's tiny light through the forest. They walked past singing streams and glowing mushrooms until they reached a clearing filled with the most beautiful garden Moon Bear had ever seen.

"Welcome," said Badger, patting soil around a tall sunflower. "This is my heart garden."

"It is beautiful," Moon Bear whispered.

Badger smiled.

"Every flower here grew from something hard." She pointed to the sunflower. "Squirrel knocked over my acorn collection once. I was so upset that I carried the feeling for days."

"That is how I feel now," Moon Bear said quietly.

"Then I saw Squirrel leaving new acorns at my door every morning," Badger continued. "That is when I planted this seed, right where I let my anger go."

Moon Bear's ears perked up.

"You let it go? How?"

Firefly landed on a purple bloom.

"Badger discovered something important."

"Holding anger is like carrying stones," Badger explained. "It makes everything harder. But when you put the stones down."

She gestured at her garden.

"Beautiful things can grow instead."

Moon Bear thought about the heavy feeling in his chest.

"But Rabbit hurt something precious."

"Did she mean to?" Badger asked gently.

Moon Bear's ears drooped.

"No. She was playing. She did not see it."

Badger handed him a tiny seed.

"Plant this where your anger lives. See what happens."

Moon Bear held the seed. It felt warm, like a little heartbeat. He pressed it against his chest where the heavy stone feeling sat. Something shifted inside him. The tightness softened a little. He remembered Rabbit's face when she had tried to gather the petals. He remembered her saying,

"Please, Moon Bear."

His paw had wanted to help her then. But anger had stopped him.

"I need to find Rabbit," Moon Bear said.

His silver fur began glowing again, soft and steady. He found Rabbit outside her burrow, surrounded by small pots of soil. She looked up, surprised.

"Moon Bear! I have been asking everyone how to grow moon flowers." Her voice was small. "But none of them know your special song."

Moon Bear saw the dirt under Rabbit's claws. He saw water drops on the pots. She had been working so hard. His chest did not feel heavy anymore. It felt warm.

"Will you teach me?" Rabbit asked. "So maybe, someday, I can grow one for you?"

Moon Bear sat beside her. The angry feeling had floated away like dandelion fluff, leaving room for something better.

"Let us sing together right now."

Rabbit's eyes grew shiny.

"You mean it? You will give me another chance?"

"Friends make mistakes," Moon Bear said softly. "But you tried to make it right. That matters most."

They sang together under the rising moon. Moon Bear's silver glow mixed with moonbeams, making everything shimmer. And in one pot, a tiny bud appeared. Days passed. Moon Bear and Rabbit tended the flower together, singing every evening. When it finally bloomed, it glowed brighter than the first.

"It is more beautiful," Rabbit whispered.

"Because we grew it together," Moon Bear said.

His chest felt light as air now. That night, Moon Bear's silver fur glowed softly beside Rabbit, the new flower, and the quiet moon.
