## Story

## The Discovery

In a bright forest clearing, a group of animal friends gathered for hide-and-seek. Rosie Rabbit counted beside the oak while Max Mouse, Bella Bird, Bruno Bear, and Daisy Deer looked for hiding places.

Max squeezed behind a fern and found a rolled piece of paper tied with grass.

"I found something," he called.

The friends gathered around. The paper was an old map with a dotted path and a small X near a drawing of three mushrooms.

"A treasure map," whispered Daisy.

"Then we follow it together," said Bruno.

"And we tell Owl where we are going," said Bella. "Good adventures have good plans."

## The Search Begins

After telling Owl their plan, the friends followed the dotted path to the first clue.

The clue was hidden beneath a flat stone and showed a leaf, a feather, and a paw print.

"It means we all have a part," said Rosie.

Bella flew low to spot markers on branches. Max checked small spaces under roots. Bruno moved a fallen branch from the path. Daisy remembered which mushrooms matched the map drawing.

Soon they reached a patch where the dotted path split into three.

"We should vote," said Bruno.

"We should look for clues first," said Daisy.

They slowed down and looked carefully. Only the middle path had all three signs: leaf, feather, and paw print.

## Friendship

The middle path led to a tangle of vines. There was no need to rush through.

Max found a small gap. Daisy gently held one vine aside. Bella carried the map over the leaves so it would not tear. Bruno waited until everyone was through before he followed.

"I like this hunt better when no one hurries me," said Max.

"Then we will keep going at friend speed," said Rosie.

The next clue was a riddle:

What grows bigger when everyone gives a little?

The friends sat in a circle to think.

"A pile of berries," said Bruno.

"A song," said Bella.

"A friendship," said Rosie.

The map shimmered in the sunlight, and the X appeared beside the three mushrooms.

## The Treasure Unveiled

The friends reached the three mushrooms and found a small wooden chest tucked beneath a blanket of moss.

Bruno lifted the lid. Inside were smooth stones, bright beads, acorn caps painted gold, and a note.

Bella read the note aloud:

For friends who follow clues together:

Take one token to remember what helped you most.

Rosie chose a bead for patience. Max chose a tiny painted acorn for courage to speak up. Bella chose a feather-shaped stone for careful planning. Bruno chose a round stone for waiting his turn. Daisy chose a green bead for noticing details.

"The treasure was not hidden under the moss," said Daisy.

"It was in how we found it," said Rosie.

## The Celebration

The friends carried the chest back to the clearing so everyone could see the map and the note.

"Remember when Max found the fern gap?" Bruno said.

"Remember when Bella told us to tell Owl first?" Rosie added.

Everyone laughed, and the treasure chest felt light in their paws.

Their families and other forest animals listened as each friend told one part of the hunt.

They told how they followed the map, paused when the path split, solved the riddle, and made sure every voice was heard.

Owl hung the map on the oak so other friends could try the hunt too.

The group shared berries on large leaves while soft birdsong filled the clearing.

The animal friends sat together with their tokens. The old map had led them to a chest, but teamwork had led them to the real treasure.
