# Dancing Dragons: The Circus Adventure

_Puff and Sparkle Find Their Place in the Music_

Puff and Sparkle are friendly dragons who love dancing, but their smoky puffs make the circus dancers cough. Together they create a new routine with ribbon smoke, careful breathing, and plenty of room for everyone.

## Story

## The Dragons Meet the Circus

Puff and Sparkle were young dragons who loved music. Puff tapped rhythms with his tail. Sparkle twirled whenever she heard a fiddle.

One sunny day, they found a circus rehearsing in a meadow.

"May we watch?" Sparkle asked.

"Of course," said Bubbles the clown. "Just stand behind the blue rope until rehearsal is done."

The dragons watched dancers spin with scarves and clowns march in zigzags. Puff's feet began to bounce.

## Becoming Friends with Performers

During the break, Bubbles invited the dragons to meet the dance captain, Mira.

"We love dancing," Puff said. A small puff of smoke slipped from his nose.

Mira coughed once and smiled kindly. "Then we need a dragon-safe dance. Smoke can bother people's throats."

Puff tucked his nose behind one wing. "Sorry."

"No shame," Mira said. "We plan around what everyone needs."

She brought two long ribbons, one red and one gold.

## A New Routine

Puff practiced breathing slowly so only a tiny curl of smoke appeared. Sparkle learned to wave the ribbons through the curls, turning them into soft shapes that drifted upward.

The dancers gave the dragons plenty of space. The musicians slowed the song so Puff could count his breaths.

"In, two, three," Sparkle whispered. "Out, two, three."

The smoke became a spiral. Then a heart. Then a wobbly star that made everyone laugh.

## Showtime

When the show began, Puff and Sparkle waited for Mira's nod.

The fiddles played. The dancers crossed the ring with scarves. Puff breathed one careful curl of smoke, and Sparkle swept her gold ribbon through it.

The smoke turned into a shimmering circle and faded before it reached the audience.

Puff smiled so wide that he nearly missed the count, but Sparkle tapped his shoulder.

"Breathe," she whispered.

He did.

## Celebrating Differences

After the bow, Bubbles gave the dragons each a tiny bell for their tails.

"You brought dragon dancing to the circus," he said.

"Mira helped make it comfortable for everyone," Puff said.

Sparkle nodded. "That is why it worked."

The dragons stayed for supper with the performers. Their dance had not asked anyone to ignore a problem. It had made room for the problem, solved it gently, and left the music bright.
