## Story

Emma sat by herself on her favorite playground bench, nose buried in a well-worn book about magical streams. All around her, children laughed and played on the swings and slides, but Emma stayed in her quiet corner, too shy to join in.

A strange tinkling sound, like water droplets on glass, made Emma peek over her book's edge. Something sparkly swirled around the spiral slide, catching sunlight in ways that reminded her of rippling water.

"How curious," Emma whispered, marking her page with care. Other kids gathered near the slide, pointing at the glittering display. Emma's fingers tapped nervously on her book as she wondered what to do.

Finally, her curiosity won out. Emma walked over to a friendly-looking girl in yellow boots.

"Do you see the sparkles too?" she asked softly. "They look like the stream in my story."

"I am Maya!" the girl smiled warmly. "We are trying to solve this mystery. Want to help? You seem to know about waterways."

Working together, they discovered that sliding down created shimmering trails of light, like tiny streams flowing through the air. Each ride left behind magical ripples that lasted long enough to catch and release again. Emma's knowledge of flowing water gave her an idea.

"In my books, streams flow differently based on what is in their path," she explained. "Maybe if we try different sliding styles, we can find one that works."

The group experimented with all sorts of combinations. Fast slides made rushing rapids of light, while gentle descents created peaceful pools of color. When friends held hands while sliding, their streams merged into rainbow waterfalls.

"I know what we need!" Emma announced, her shyness forgotten in the excitement. "Waterways connect things. Let us all link up and slide together!"

When the whole group slid as one, magic shimmered across the playground. Streams of light flowed between every swing and play structure, creating brilliant bridges of color. Children danced across these rainbow paths, their laughter mixing with the musical sound of flowing light.

"Emma, you are amazing!" Maya hugged her new friend. "Your stream knowledge turned our playground into magic!"
