## Story

Sam clutched her new magnifying glass, watching sunbeams dance through its lens. An unusual rainbow sparkle drew her gaze, flickering behind the old stone wall at the edge of her yard.

"That is odd," she whispered, making a quick note. The light changed colors in ways she had never seen. Though nervous about exploring a new place by herself, her curiosity pulled her forward. Near the wall, thick ivy cascaded down the stones. Sam pushed aside the leaves and found a hidden wooden door.

Inside lay a forgotten garden filled with strange flowers. Some seemed to glow beneath the leafy shade, unlike any plants she had studied before.

"Test one: Check for natural light sources," Sam wrote. But when she got close, the glow faded away.

She set up experiments by the garden pond. Each test brought new questions but no answers. The sun moved lower as Sam tried again and again.

"This is too hard," she sighed, closing her notebook. Then she remembered her teacher's words: "Science takes brave hearts and steady minds." Sam looked up at the clouds drifting past. Light filtered through tree branches in patterns. She lifted her magnifying glass and turned it slowly. Colors burst across the garden!

Tiny crystals in the flower petals split the sunlight into rainbow beams. Sam had solved the mystery! She drew careful diagrams showing how light bent through each crystal type. Different times of day made new patterns appear.
