## Story

## The Quiet Child

Once upon a time, in a great castle nestled on top of the highest hill in the land, lived a noble family. They were known for their kindness and generosity to all they met. Although each member of the family had their unique talents and abilities, there was one child who felt left out.

Their siblings could ride horses with ease while their parents took care of important tasks around the castle. Meanwhile, this young child did not know where they fit in or what made them special.

Despite living in such an extraordinary place surrounded by love and happiness, this little one often felt left out. They wandered through the courtyards looking for something useful to do or someone who might understand.

One day, as they walked through the forest near the castle walls, a soft sound led them toward the ferns.

## The Dragon Encounter

One sunny day, the young child wandered off into the forest. It was a beautiful place full of towering trees, chirping birds and colourful flowers.

While exploring, they heard a low groan coming from behind a thick bush. Curiosity pulled them closer.

As they peered through the leaves, they saw something incredible. A giant dragon lay there with one wing folded awkwardly against its side.

The young child gasped in surprise, then remembered how important it is to help others in need. With gentle hands, they reached toward the dragon's scales.

To their surprise, the dragon did not roar like the dragons in storybooks. It merely looked up with pleading eyes that seemed to ask for help.

The child hurried back for clean cloth, cool water, and honey cakes. They cleaned scratches, wrapped the sore wing, and spoke in a soft voice so the dragon would stay calm.

The dragon was grateful for everything the child had done. It invited them to ride on its back when fully healed, and the child accepted with delight.

## A New Friendship Begins

As the days went by, the young child and the dragon became great friends. The dragon would visit regularly, and they would play together all day long in the castle gardens.

During their time together, the dragon shared stories of bravery and adventure that inspired the young noble. They heard about dragons who guided travelers, guarded mountain gardens, and carried messages across faraway valleys.

The child was fascinated by these stories and soon started dreaming of becoming a brave hero themselves someday. They began to imagine going on adventures with their new friend, exploring enchanted forests full of magical creatures or flying over mountaintops searching for treasure.

Their friendship was playful too! Together they chased butterflies around the garden, played hide-and-seek among trees, and even had tea parties with stuffed animals!

The other members of the noble family were surprised when they saw how close the child had become with such a grand dragon. As they watched them play together in harmony, they realized that this was something special: a steady bond between two unlikely friends.

Day after day, the friendship continued to grow until one fateful afternoon when something unexpected happened.

## Discovering Hidden Talents

As the young child spent more time with their dragon friend, they began to realize that they were braver than they thought. The dragon would tell stories of daring rescues and exciting adventures, and the child found themselves feeling inspired by each tale.

One day while walking through the castle gardens, the child noticed a small bird who had fallen from its nest. Without hesitation, they carefully picked up the bird and brought it back to its nest.

The other members of their family did not seem to think much of this act of kindness. After all, it was a little bird. But for the young child, this moment was special. They realized that even something simple could make a big difference for someone.

The child made an effort to be kinder to everyone around them. They helped clean up toys after playtime at school and shared snacks with classmates who forgot theirs at home. Even though these actions seemed small compared to slaying dragons or saving kingdoms like in their friend's stories, they knew that being kind could also be heroic.

People started noticing. Teachers praised them for being such a caring student, while friends appreciated how thoughtful they were. The child felt proud knowing that their hidden talent was not reserved for their dragon friend but could help others too.

Through friendship with a magical creature came not only bravery but also empathy towards those around us, no matter how insignificant it may seem!

## The Castle's Difficult Visitor

One sunny day, as the child was playing outside the castle, they saw a group of strangers approaching. They looked like ordinary travelers at first, but as they came closer, everyone grew quiet.

The leader of the group was a stern magician who wanted the castle's old spellbook for himself. He had heard that the noble family kept it safe in the library tower.

As soon as he arrived at the castle gates, he demanded an audience with the child's parents. They refused to hand over the book, and the visitor's voice grew sharp enough to unsettle everyone in the courtyard.

The child felt worry rising inside them, but they remembered the dragon's steady breathing and the tiny bird in the garden.

The young child stepped forward, ready to speak.

"You want power," the child said, "but our family uses this book to help the kingdom. If you want wisdom, you may study with us. If you want to take it, the answer is no."

The courtyard became silent. The dragon lowered its great head beside the child, not to alarm anyone, but to show that kindness could stand tall. The stern magician looked from the child to the dragon and let his shoulders soften.

"Perhaps I came asking the wrong way," he said.

## A Brave Answer

The young noble stood beside their dragon friend, determined to protect the castle through courage and clear words. The magician had come seeking power, but the young noble knew wisdom worked better when it was shared with care.

Together, the family invited the visitor into the courtyard for tea. He apologized for demanding what was not his, and the child's parents agreed to let him copy one helpful spell under their watch.

Everyone in the kingdom cheered the child's brave answer. From that moment onward, everyone knew the child had courage enough for any challenge ahead.

As people thanked them for what they had done, the child smiled happily, realizing that being kind to others, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, can make all the difference in times of need.

The celebration continued late into the night with music and dancing. The young noble danced alongside friends both new and old, feeling grateful for having such wonderful people in their life.

Finally tired from all of this excitement, the child went home to rest, happy knowing that even though there would be other challenges ahead, they could meet them with courage.

## Life After the Celebration

After helping the castle through a difficult day, the child felt a newfound sense of pride and confidence. They realized that they were brave and capable, even if their gifts looked different from everyone else's.

As they went about their daily life, the child continued to be kind to others. They made an effort to reach out to those who might feel left out, the way the dragon had done for them.

The child had many new friends from all over the kingdom! Some were noble children like themselves, while others were ordinary people living in town or on farms. The child loved spending time with each one of them and learning about their unique interests and talents.

Together with these new friends, the child explored different parts of the castle grounds and ventured into nearby forests. They played games together and shared stories under starry nights by campfires.

Even though there would still be challenges ahead, the young noble now knew that they could meet them with bravery and kindness toward everyone.

The young noble lived happily ever after, spreading kindness wherever they went and inspiring others to do the same.
