## Story

## Meet Peter the Shy Servant!

Once upon a time, in a grand castle far away, there lived a shy servant boy named Peter. He worked hard every day cleaning the floors and dusting the furniture, but he did not talk to many people. Instead, he spent most of his time with his animal friends: a mouse named Max, a bird named Bella, and a rabbit named Charlie.

Max would often come out of his hiding place to keep Peter company while he cleaned. Bella would perch on top of his broomstick singing him songs as he swept the floors clean. And Charlie loved hopping around trying to help out however way he could.

Peter felt happy with these little creatures because they never made him feel bad about being shy. They were always friendly toward him, and that was why they liked spending so much time together.

Every morning at dawn, before anyone else was awake in the castle, Peter started his chores. He swept the hallways, polished silverware for upcoming dinners, and listened while Max, Bella, and Charlie turned the quiet work into company.

## The Discovery of Peter's Voice

One day, while cleaning the grand hall of the castle, Peter started to hum a tune. It was a catchy little melody that he had heard from one of the visitors at the castle. As he continued humming softly to himself, he did not realize that his animal friends were nearby.

Max, Bella, and Charlie heard him singing. Max whispered, "I have never heard anything like this before."

Bella chirped in agreement as Charlie nodded in admiration. All three animals approached Peter slowly so they would not startle him.

When they reached him, they asked if he could sing again for them. But when it came time for Peter to perform for them again, his shyness took over and he refused.

"Please sing again," encouraged Max with his tiny paws clasped together. "You have an amazing talent."

Peter simply shook his head and went back to work while feeling embarrassed.

But later that evening, when everyone was asleep except Peter, he quietly sang another song under his breath. He did not realize the others nearby could hear him too.

The next day, people noticed something different about Peter. He stood a little taller, hummed while he worked, and smiled when Bella sang along from the broom handle.

After that, whenever someone needed music or entertainment, whether during mealtime or after chores were finished, everyone knew exactly who to ask.

## Peter Practices Singing for the Grand Ball

Peter was feeling excited about the upcoming grand ball, but he was also nervous. He had never sung in front of a large audience before, and the thought of it made him feel uneasy. However, his animal friends were there to support him every step of the way.

One day, as Peter was cleaning the grand hall with his animal friends by his side, they encouraged him to sing a song. At first, Peter felt hesitant, but after some gentle nudging from his friends, he began to hum a tune.

To their surprise and delight, Peter's voice sounded beautiful! His animal friends clapped their paws and wings in excitement as they listened to him sing.

Peter started practicing singing every day. He would practice while doing chores or walking around the castle grounds. With each passing day, he gained more confidence and improved his singing skills.

His animal friends continued to encourage him by giving constructive feedback on how he could improve certain parts of his performance. They even helped create new songs for him to practice!

Thanks to their support and encouragement over time, it became less worrying for Peter to think about performing at such an important event like the grand ball coming up soon.

## The Grand Ball Invitation

One sunny morning, Peter was sweeping the floor when a messenger arrived at the castle with an invitation from none other than the King himself! The message invited everyone in the castle to attend a grand ball that would be held in honor of his daughter's birthday.

Peter and his animal friends were overjoyed. They had never been to a grand ball before, and they could not wait to see all of the beautiful dresses, fancy suits, and decorations. What made Peter even more excited was that this would be an opportunity for him to share his singing.

As soon as he finished cleaning up, he rushed off to tell his animal friends about it. "I can hardly wait to sing at the grand ball," said Peter gleefully. "Everyone will finally get to hear my voice."

His animal friends cheered for him because they knew how much singing meant for Peter. They encouraged him by telling him how proud they were of him.

The day of the grand ball finally arrived, and everyone in town looked their absolute best! There were princesses wearing glittery tiaras on their heads, knights dressed up in shiny armor and kings wearing majestic robes.

Peter put on his best clothes too: a smart shirt tucked into black pants. What made him stand out most was his confidence. He walked around feeling elated, knowing that he would soon have an audience with whom he could share something special: his voice.

One unforgettable night filled with dancing under sparkling chandeliers while music played beautifully throughout every corner of the room was about to begin.

## Peter's Big Performance

The day of the grand ball had finally arrived, but Peter was feeling nervous about his performance. He had never sung in front of so many people before, and he worried that he might forget the words or hit a wrong note.

As he sat in his room getting ready for the ball, his animal friends came to visit him. They could see how nervous he was and wanted to help him feel more confident.

"Do not worry, Peter," said Max. "Imagine that you are singing to us like you always do."

"And remember to breathe slowly," added Charlie. "It will help calm your nerves."

Bella chirped next. "And remember to stand up straight and smile. Confidence is key."

Peter nodded, feeling grateful for their advice. He breathed slowly as they suggested and stood up straight.

When it was time for him to perform at last, Peter felt much more confident thanks to his little animal friends' support.

As he stepped onto the stage with grace and poise, as they had taught him, all eyes turned toward him in anticipation of what would come next.

## A Show-Stopping Performance

The big day had finally arrived! Peter, the shy servant boy who discovered his talent for singing, was going to perform at the grand ball. He had practiced every day with his animal friends until he felt confident about his voice and stage presence.

As he stood on stage in front of all the guests, including the King himself, Peter felt a little nervous but also excited. His heart was beating fast as he started singing a beautiful tune that echoed throughout the hall.

The audience listened in awe as they heard Peter's voice grow stronger and more powerful with each passing moment. Even animals gathered near the castle walls to hear him sing.

Peter sang like never before, hitting high notes effortlessly and enchanting everyone with his melodious voice. The guests clapped their hands wildly when he finished singing, showing their appreciation for such an amazing performance.

Afterward, people could not stop talking about how talented Peter was. They were thrilled to have witnessed such a warm performance from someone so young.

From that moment on, people around town learned about Peter's special talent for singing. Many asked him to perform at events throughout the kingdom because they wanted others to hear the joy in his voice.

Peter's performance showed children that sometimes we do not know what our true talents are until we try something new. His song encouraged them to explore and discover hidden talents within themselves too.

## Sharing His Gift

Peter's life changed after he discovered his talent for singing. People now knew about him and would come to listen to him sing at various events throughout the kingdom. At first, he was nervous about sharing his gift with others, but he soon realized it was okay to share something special with them.

One day, a group of children from the nearby village came to visit Peter at the castle. They had heard about his beautiful voice and wanted to hear him sing in person. Peter was delighted and decided to sing their favorite song while playing on his guitar.

The children were mesmerized by Peter's performance; they sang along with him and even danced around in excitement! Afterward, they asked if he could perform again for them sometime soon.

From that day forward, whenever there was an event or gathering in town, people asked Peter to sing. He still blushed before the first note, but his voice carried clear across the hall.

Sharing his gift brought joy to the people who listened, and Peter carried that joy with him long after each song ended.

Peter continued practicing every day so that he could improve even more and become an even better singer than before. As long as there were people who wanted to listen, he promised himself that he would always be ready to share his gift with them!

Through each performance, Peter found a new place for his quiet courage to sing.

## Peter Keeps Singing

Peter kept singing after the ball, sometimes in grand halls and sometimes while polishing silver in the morning sun. His voice belonged to him now.

When other servants asked how he had found the courage to sing, Peter smiled and told them about all the quiet mornings he had practiced by himself. Soon music filled the castle in small ways: a humming cook, a whistling gardener, and Peter's clear voice rising above the silver trays.

## Morning in the Laundry Courtyard

The next morning, Peter woke before the castle bells and practiced beside the laundry courtyard, where the stones made his small song sound bright.

Peter's dream grew through practice, patience, and the courage to keep singing even after setbacks.
