## Story

In a sun-dappled valley where ancient willows swayed, lived a golden retriever puppy named Buddy. His special red ball held summer magic, glowing softly as it bounced along the crystal stream where smooth stones made perfect steps across the water.

While rabbits, deer, and squirrels played together across the stream, sharing treats and telling tales, Buddy stayed on his side. He watched their fun but kept his distance, bouncing his magical ball against the rocks.

One bright morning, ripples spread across the water as a sleek head popped up through the mist. An otter with twinkling eyes surfaced, wearing a necklace of shiny stones.

"Hi! I am Ripple," she said cheerfully. "Your ball looks like it holds sunbeams! Want to play catch in the rainbow pools?"

Buddy clutched his ball closer but nodded slowly. Together they found that when the ball passed through sunbeams, it left trails of sparkles in the air.

Their game went well until Ripple dove for a catch. The ball bounced toward the Shimmer Pool, where legend said magical fish lived. Buddy's heart jumped, and he blurted, "You are trying to take my ball!"

Ripple's whiskers drooped. She gently nudged the ball back with her nose.

"I would never steal from a friend," she answered softly before swimming away with a smile. The sparkle trails faded, leaving Buddy by the stream again. Over the next few days, Buddy watched Ripple sharing her collection of enchanted stones. When touched, they showed tiny scenes of forest magic, delighting all the animals who gathered to watch.
