## Story

Sunlight danced on the crystal-clear water as Daisy Duck paddled in her favorite pool, watching tiny ripples spread from her webbed feet. She loved the familiar comfort of her quiet corner of the stream, where smooth stones sparkled beneath the surface.

One morning, mysterious giggles and splashing echoed from beyond the stream's bend. Daisy had never ventured past the old oak tree that marked her pool's boundary. Her heart fluttered with a mix of curiosity and nervousness as she listened to the joyful sounds.

"I wonder who is having so much fun down there," Daisy murmured, stretching her neck to peer downstream. "But what if the water is too quick? What if they do not want a new friend?"

Taking tiny steps along the mossy bank, Daisy waddled toward the sounds. Each step helped her worries feel smaller. A bright blue dragonfly zipped past in a shimmer of wings, then looped back gracefully.

"Hello there! I am Zip!" the dragonfly buzzed cheerfully. "Are you heading to the rapids? They are absolutely wonderful this time of day!" Daisy shuffled her feet.

"I have never gone that far before. Is it safe?"

"It can be safe if we go carefully," Zip said, performing a playful loop-de-loop. "I will show you all the calm spots. Sometimes the best adventures start with one brave step!"

Around the first bend, they discovered a small waterfall where silver fish leaped through rainbow-touched spray. Their scales glittered like stars as they danced through the cascading water.

"Come join us!" called a spotted trout named Flash. "The gentle rapids make the most amazing water slides!" Daisy watched the fish play, her webbed feet tingling with excitement and uncertainty.

"I do not know how," she admitted. Flash swam closer.

"Start here in the shallow part. We will teach you the special paddle-and-glide move!"

With Zip cheering encouragement, Daisy dipped one foot into the flowing water. The current tickled her feathers like friendly fingers. She took another step, then another. Soon she was paddling through swirling pools, laughing as Flash and his friends showed her their secret swimming spots.

"You are doing great!" Zip called. "Wait until you see what is next!"

Following the sound of more laughter, they discovered an enormous pool around the next bend. Turtles sunbathed on fallen logs while river otters played hide-and-seek in the crystal depths. A family of herons practiced their graceful fishing dance among the water lilies.

"Welcome to the Grand Pool!" everyone called out warmly. "We love meeting new friends!"

That evening, as golden sunset light painted the water in warm hues, Daisy realized something important: her worry about the unknown had almost kept her from discovering this wonderful new world of friends. Each small step of courage had led to something more amazing than she could have imagined. The next morning, Daisy swam back to her old pool where her cousin Dot was resting shyly beneath a lily pad.

"Want to see something magical?" Daisy asked gently. "I have met some incredible friends who would love to meet you too. We can take it one small step at a time, together."
